Headed to Haiti!

Hey y’all I would like to update and share with you guys some things the Lord has given me clarity on regarding what’s next.
A few months back, while in Hawaii, the Lord gave me a dream and a word. A word that would connect worlds and countries. A word that I could never make up on my own. A word that would only be possible through YWAM Ships. I was very certain of this word that came from the Lord. So, I came back home from Hawaii, with the intentions to see my family, rest, regroup, and go back overseas after a few months. And then, something unexpected happened…..my dad passed away.
It has already been over a month since my dad’s passing. And it’s hard to believe time can fly by so fast! And if you have ever lost a loved one, you know how sad it can be. This hasn’t been the easiest season for me (by any means) but I have been going to counseling, processing, healing, and coming to terms with it the passing. (Which I posted more about in my latest blog on my website..... https://www.janea.net)
So for the past month or so, I have been seeking the Lord on what He would have me do. I have been at a crossroads, not wanting to make a hasty decision. I have been blessed with many great mentors and spiritual peers who have partnered with me in prayer and helped me see both sides of this outcome (staying or going). And although it hasn’t been the easiest decision, it brought me to a place of really seeking the Lord and digging into His will for me in this upcoming season.
Through a lot of praying and fasting, I felt the Lord show me to step out in faith regarding going back overseas. He was not surprised about my dad’s passing and He has been with me every step of the way but the word He gave me a few months back is still what I feel led to act upon.
The direction He has given me is to be a part of the YWAM family and my first step towards this call is to complete a DTS (Discipleship Training School). With that being said, I will be going to Haiti at the end of June, where I will spend 3 months in the city of Cap-Haiti, training, healing, and growing deeper into what being a full-time missionary looks like.
Afterwards, I will be doing a two month outreach to another country (yet to be determined.) The goal of this school is to know God and make God known and I am excited to be able to do this along such awesome men and women of God. I have been blessed to be a small part of YWAM already (in Cambodia and Hawaii) and I really love how the Lord is using this ministry.
During this time, I will have two budgets to raise. One now for my lecture phase (my first 3 months in Haiti) & personal expenses and then, the 2nd budget, later on, I’ll have a goal for my outreach budget (price depending on the location.)
Lecture Phase: $3000.00 USD (food, accomodations, & tuition)
Personal Expenses: $2,600.00 (medical insurance, flights, medication, spending money.)
Outreach Phase: $2000.00- $4000.00 (TBD)
If you feel led to give towards this assignment, anything would help and I would be very grateful. If not, I just appreciate you taking the time to read this.
