OPERATION: SCOOTER DROP

Donation protected

While visiting India this year, I met a young man that touched my heart.  Guddu is going to be 24 years old this year.  Earlier in Guddu's life, a doctor while performing surgery to remove a spot on his back, made a mistake and cut this young man's spinal cord.  This caused Guddu to have zero feeling from the waist down.  Eventually his legs were amputated due to infection.  Guddu has overcome all the obstacles placed before him.  By the use of a skateboard given to him, he has learned to navigate on road as well as off road.  He refuses to let life hold him back.  He loves the Lord and knows that through Him all things are possible.  He is truly a great testimony, and it was an honor to meet him.

Guddu is working towards his goal of becoming an engineer while attending school in Delhi.  There are hours of travel involved to get to and from as well as around campus. His dream is to get a petroleum based scooter.  This scooter would save him a good deal of time and energy on his school commute and everyday travel.  He will always keep the skateboard as it is still a great means to get around and he is fondly attached to it.  However, the scooter will allow him to get up and down the mountainous roads, as well as navigating around the cities with ease (and a little more safely.)

This young man made such an impact on my life in such a short time, that I made him a promise to raise the money for his scooter.  I know that with the support of my network, as well as my network's networks, this small amount of money can be reached in no time at all.  Any money over and above the $5000, as well as any left over after the scooter build, will be given to the boys' home where Guddu lives.

Now below I have broken down the $5000 into pieces.  The total project will be approximately $5000.  I'm not sure of the actual cost breakdown, but I just thought it would be more fun to visually see what you could be contributing towards.  I don't know exactly what the scooter is going to look like once modified to work for Guddu, but I do know that he will get a brand new scooter and no corners will be cut in the manufacturing process.  This scooter will be built to last and I believe God will use Guddu as well as his scooter to help reach India.
