Guatemala Volunteer Trip- Dentistry For All

Hello everyone!
I am starting this page as I've been working for the incredible nonprofit Dentistry For All (DFA) since 2015 and in January 2020 I have the amazing opportunity to go down to Rio Dulce & El Remate, Peten.
This organization holds a huge place in my heart and is a big part of the reason I want to pursue a career in Public Health.
We are very fortunate to live in a society where something like going to the dentist is most likely simple and available. We are lucky that if we have pain throughout our mouth and jaw or a sore tooth.. it would be a quick fix.
These children and families do not have the accessibility to a lot of branches of health care. They lack the education and resources to maintain quality oral health.
One of the major issues in Guatemala with oral health is that Coca-cola is easier and cheaper to get a hold of than water.
So, I would love the help to be able to go down there this upcoming year and help out all the little children and the families get access to this care that they are in desperate need of.
Even just the $5 you were going to spend on your Starbucks this morning goes a long long way.
