Guatemala Medical Mission Trip

If you knew my decision process when choosing a physical therapy school, you knew that WashU came out on top because of the medical mission trip they offered to Guatemala, offered in the third year. The trip is with Hearts in Motion, located in Zacapa, Guatemala. Ever since participating in a mission trip to Costa Rica in college, there was something stirred in me to go and serve, whenever I next had the chance to do so. This trip to Guatemala with WashU is my next chance.
I feel like the Lord lead me to Costa Rica to broaden my horizons and teach me about my desires to serve, and with my new skills as a PT student, He wants me to serve the patients in Guatemala. My friend Michelle and I's slogan for our trip to Costa Rica was this: The Time to be Awesome is Now. As I finish up my last year of PT school next year I can't help but carry that over - the time to be awesome and use the skills to help those that need them will be now (or at least in March 2017)!
Like all mission trips, I need some help getting there! Especially as a graduate student when all of my funds are put to saving for paying off loans or used for general school costs, food, and living, I need some assistance to get to Guatemala.
The trip dates are: March 4-11th, 2017
For a cost breakdown:
$1000 due to Hearts in Motion (the clinic in Guatemala) - $550 due 6/1/16, the rest due on 1/13/17
$100 due to traveler's insurance
$150 for spending money, any other vaccinations I need (food, drinks)
$900 for airfare
For a total of ~$2000
I hope you prayerfully consider supporting me to travel to Guatemala as I assist my classmates in helping provide physical therapy services to the people there!
