Medical mission to Guam

This summer I have the incredible opportunity to serve for a month as a psychiatrist at a small medical clinic in Guam. This clinic usually does not have a psychiatrist available, so I will be providing much-needed mental health care to their patients. I will also have the chance to train some of the other providers at the clinic how to better care for this special population of patients.

The clinic actually covers a lot of my expenses while there, including housing and transportation. They also pay for my airfare. However, since I will be there for a whole month, I plan to take my family which means paying for airfare and other travel expenses for my husband and our two kids! This is why I have set up this site. Our limited income while I am still in training makes this sort of trip an amazing opportunity, but also one that could easily be out of reach. We hope to get help from friends, family or even complete strangers to make this trip a possibility for our family and to benefit the people in Guam who need access to a mental health professional.
