"Finally It Has Happened To Me "
After losing my mother at three years old and being disowned by my father by the age of 9 for coming out of the closet, I started looking for what I’ve lost in life: love, security and the fulfillment of someone being there to care unconditionally. Immediately, my love for theater and the performing arts grew increasingly to a high that I never knew existed. That passion, that love and that security I longed for I found it in the arts, and I created a dance company that has lasted all throughout my high-school career. This company is the reason I haven't given up on life. This company is the reason that I didn't commit suicide when I was so close to jumping off a bridge and having worthless thoughts about my life and me as a human being, I’ve given my all in this company and has given to the community by creating, directing and producing three free shows with the help of community members. Through the performing arts I found me and what I truly believe is my calling. I want to go away to school to further my education in the arts, but as an independent student and not having any assistance from the government or my family I cannot afford the cost of travel, the down payment for housing and other expense’s such as (food public, transportation, and clothes). I’m taking a risk and starting my life over as I go to study at Finger Lake Community College. Even though I live in NYC and will be traveling to a place that I don’t know anyone, I have faith that it will all be worth it. So if you could extend the love and gratitude to my dream by helping to donate I have one week to come up with this down payment or I will lose my spot for housing.
