Staying Alive

Donation protected
My name is Gina B and I'm a 38 year old mother of four. In November of 2018 I was given a death sentence. I'm sure the neurologists at the Mellen Center didn't mean for it to feel that way but ALS has that effect.  After a year and two months of debilitating mobility and little to no answers, I wasn't prepared for the definitive lack of hope handed down with this diagnosis. For those who don't know , ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease, is degenerative motor neuron disease with no known cause or cure.  What  that entails is loss of balance and eventually gradual loss of all skeletal muscle function and strength leading to death usually  due respiratory failure.
So at 37 I was told I have this "rare" disease that seems to be progressing faster than average and they were so sorry but there is nothing they can do . I had already done some research on the internet and in a lot of the stories I had read other people were given an estimated time table of 2-5 years. I was not  given anything but a couple of useless prescriptions, a promise of worsening symptoms and an apology. So I had to go home and tell my children that our lives were never going to be the same. I can't lie, at first my grief overcame me and I gave up . I submitted to the idea that my life was over and I let my faith fade.
Fast forward to present day and a lot has changed. I have progressively gotten worse but not as quickly as they had led me to believe. This has given me hope and restored my faith. I was able to see my daughter's first steps and hear her first words. So I did more research. Turns out, this isn't such a rare disease after all. It also turns out that doctors aren't very forthcoming with information about alternative treatments or the fact that people have beat this. Me never being one to give up, I began doing even more research. I've found that people have beat this by doing their own research and trying alternative treatments. The only difference between them and me is they're about twenty years older than me, they could afford the alternative treatments and their faith held strong.
So I'm asking for your help. I need to stay alive for my babies, that's the best way I can put it. In my research I've found that there are similarities in most of the reversals. A lot of them have had success with changing their diet, taking supplements, detoxifying their bodies and environment, doing ozone therapy and staying spiritually full. I've been taking some of the supplements with help from my aunt but they add up quickly as does clean eating. I've researched an ozone sauna and they range up to around $5000 and the EWOT (exercise with oxygen therapy) is around $1500. The rest of the money would go to supplements and to aid in the transition to a wheelchair accessible home. I've never been one to ask for help but God has humbled me to a point that must. I have to stay alive for my babies if nothing else. Thank you and God bless.
