Raccoon's Out of the Cold Fundraiser

Winter will soon be setting in on Mi'kma'ki / Nova Scotia and we continue to face a housing crisis. We have people who are unhoused or underhoused across the city and the province, people living in tents, couch surfing, and other precarious living situations. There are also many more who are one missed paycheque, renoviction or rent increase away from finding themselves in this terrible situation.

I'm hoping to raise some funds for Out of the Cold to help them provide support to the people in our community that need it. All proceeds raised here will go to Out of the Cold and any fees taken by GoFundMe up to $200 I'll match and pay directly to Out of the Cold. Also the highest individual donation* will get to have "Dinner with a Raccoon**"

Out of the Cold Halifax helps our community by providing housing support and solutions to our unhoused or precariously housed neighbours who experience a variety of barriers to housing. They provide wrap-around services such as case workers to help with life skills and stabilizing resources to residents in HRM's emergency shelters at both the Punamu'kwati'jk / Dartmouth and Kjipuktuk / Halifax locations. Out of the Cold also provides meals and showers to those in need across the city.

Nov 4 Update: Thanks to your generosity, we've reached our initial goal of $500 (and an additional $100 gift card from On the Wedge Pizza) in just 3 days, let's see how much more we can raise to support OTC.
