My sweet husband has experienced a sudden and unexplained loss of mobility in his left leg. After a visit to the emergency room and X-rays and chiropractor, he has been ordered to a myriad of various testing including MRIs to try to figure out why out of nowhere, healthy person is experiencing this type of lameness. He can not walk or stand and this is very scary for us to see.
So far, from what he know, this could be caused by nerve damage in the back, legs, or possibly a neurological cause. We don’t know yet if this is temporary or permanent. Either way we are in for a long ride of testing, physical therapy and loss of work. We are scared but have faith that he will overcome this obstacle and life will return to normal.
The medical bills will run very high and we have not yet met our medical deductible. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and prayers are welcomed in this uncertain time. We do know the specific MRIs needed are going to be at least 2500.00 out of pocket. Without them, we will not find out what is causing his leg to be “dead.” He and his family want him to walk again.
