We sailed down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena on January 1st, 2020! The General Society of Mayflower Descendants ushered in the 400th Anniversary of the Voyage of the Mayflower with a spectacular float! If you would still like to help us pay off our costs to sail down the boulevard, please click the link below. As you can imagine, it was quite a financial stretch for us to cover the cost of the float for the 2020 Rose Parade®. We had such a great experience and it was truly a memorable event. We told the story of the Pilgrims and the Mayflower to hundreds of millions - maybe up to a billion people around the world. Your donation will help us to fully pay off our beautifully designed and decorated float that sailed in the Rose Parade in Pasadena on January 1, 2020. This educational outreach to the entire nation to tell this story we hold so dear was so impactful. Our float won the "Americana Award" for the best representation of American History and Culture. If you would like to participate in addition to donating for this project with the members of the California chapter of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, please go to the California Mayflower Society website to find out more information and let us know of your interest. There are various ways to participate, so please check it out at: http://camayflower.org/ We thank you for your generous donation and your support of all of the activities celebrating this monumental anniversary of the landing of our ancestors on the shores of Plymouth in 1620. From this anniversary event on January 1st, 2020 through the entire year, there will be numerous events around the United States, England and Holland celebrating the anniversary. Please contact the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, for more information: https://www.themayflowersociety.org/ Pilgrim Blessings, The General Society of Mayflower Descendants, Plymouth, Massachusetts & The State of California * The "Rose Parade®" is a registered trademark of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® and is used by permission by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses®. * This GoFundMe program and the raising of funds for the creation of a Rose Parade® Float by the GSMD is in no way sponsored by nor administered by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses®
