*FULL STORY IN THE UPDATES*
When someone you love dearly suddenly is taken away from you, you realize how short time we have here on earth. Don't forget to tell everyone you care for how much you love them every day!
The 8th of November, our beloved bunny Lilly, who was our baby and the one who greated us every day as we came home from work, the one that sat in our lap, wanted massage, watched every bad tv-series with us and warmed us up when it was winter, suddenly became ill.
We spent many hours with the veterinary, she slept in the animal hospital during the night and then even though she was weak, she needed to go to surgery.
Unfortunatley, even though the doctors fought for her life, Lilly didn't manage to pull thru the surgery and took her last breath there in the hands of the doctors at 15:30 November the 9th.
Only a little more than 5 years old.
We took our Lilly home and spent some last time with her doing her favourite massage and cried so much. It is a cruel world we live in, where animals who did nothing wrong, don't even get to live their entire life despite the love of their family.
Lilly leaves a huge empty hole in our hearts, she was a very special bunny that fitted so well in our family, she was like a dog in many senses, even comming when she heard her name.
We miss her endlessly and our home is now empty. When we are home, no one comes and asks for bananas, no one jumps up on the sofa to get massage or tries to jump up to the bed when we are not watching. Closing the bedroom door when we sleep now feels pointless.
Waking up, we still expect to hear the small paws running over the floor or scratching the bedroom door asking to come in.
But the thing that grinds us the most is that no one else will be able to know Lilly, if we ever get another pet, or a child, they will never know who Lilly was.
Lilly, you are always, ALWAYS a part of our family, and we miss you more every day!
Why did you have to go so soon? You will never be forgotten!
Sleep well our baby, rest in peace our love, run in your bunny heaven and have as much bananas as you want!
Maybe we see each other another day, when we all can be a family again!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
