Baby Porter Woody

We brought Porter to the ER at Children's hospital on Saturday night with concerns of his acid reflux getting worse. We could have never expected what was really going on. He was having what's called SVT which means his heart rate was super high (250). Because they didn't know how long he was in that state it caused his heart to be very sick which in turn caused his body to also be stressed. It was touch and go all Saturday night and they were preparing us that there was a chance we would lose Porter. Sunday afternoon he turned the corner. They have diagnosed him with Wolff, Parkinson, white syndrome. He will be here for a bit to get his heart stronger and to see what the right medication is going to be and to teach us how to care for him when he goes home

Porter update: He has been a little trooper... Porter had made it 29 hours without an SVT attack. However he suffered one around 8am and also suffered a blown IV last night. So the clock starts over and we'll still be calling the cardiac ICU home. There is talk to sedate him tonight and put in a central line to deliver a medication closer to his heart vs his hand
