Growing and Glowing for Charity

In November and December, Kent State Police employees will be growing out beards or dying a pink or blue streak in our hair.  Each of us must donate $30 per month to have this priviledge.  The money collected will be split for two charitable events.  The first event will be donating turkeys and gift cards for Thanksgiving to Kent Social Services.  They serve over 1400 people during the Thanksgiving season.  The second event will be a Pancake breakfast with Santa to include gifts for the KSU LIFE Program.  This is a program for single parents that are going to college to better themselves and their families.  They must keep a high GPA and most also work at least one full-time job.
