I need your help to improve the health of our future! I have developed an afterschool program for middle school students that aims to create a future less devastated by heart disease.
Future Doctors of America is a powerful 10-week after school program designed to educate, inspire, and empower middle school students about heart disease and prevention. The program was created for one purpose: to create a future less devastated by heart disease.
Heart and cardiovascular disease has been the number 1 cause of death in the US for nearly 100 years. Future Doctors of America will change that statistic.
Your funding will support creating a program that brings a local doctor to 15-20 students to educate a group of middle school students about the heart and heart disease.
Your dollars will help to create a sustainable program that will inspire these middle school students by teaching them to take pulse, listen to the heart, and take blood pressure. And giving them their own stethoscope.
Finally, your donation will help build systems to empower these students to share their new knowledge with their local community thru a small health fair.
A pilot program in the spring of 2017 in was so successful, we are adding more schools for the 2017-2018 school year. Your support will allow this development to happen! Your donation wil allow us to build a future that is just a bit healthier.
