Grow a Mo' - Help a Bro'
Donation protected
With a sincere desire to help our brother, Firefighter Marc Weiss, as he is battling pancreatic cancer, your Bonita Springs Firefighters are challenging each other (and each of you!) to 'grow a mo' this Movember in hopes that it will inspire donations and conversation about cancer prevention and awareness. All donations will go directly to Firefighter Marc Weiss to offset his medical bills.
Please take a 'mo'-ment to participate in our mustachemania for Firefighter Marc Weiss. For the month of Movember, the department has agreed to allow BSFD employees to grow handle bar/ Fu Manchu mustaches. And we're challenging other departments and the public to join in on our hair-raising event!
Donate $20 to FF Weiss and grow a grand, salty mustache to encourage conversations about cancer prevention and awareness!
Firefighters are able to grow their stache down to chin line, but safety first! Mustaches must not impede the fit of their self-contained breathing apparatus mask.
Firefighters' mustaches will be shaved or trimmed back to department policy no later than December 1, but before they go, we encourage everyone to vote on their favorite stache! Pictures will be posted periodically. Everyone will have a chance to vote on their favorite stache for a $5 donation (on the honor system).
Last stipulation, if the mustache-grower or their spouse/significant other of the mustache-grower would like the mustache shaved early... they can pay $20 to shave (Yep, cough it up ya wimp)!
A HUGE thanks to all those who participate and all our support to Firefighter Marc Weiss #WeissStrong.
