In 2008, our brother drew his last breath after 4 weeks at Cooper Hospital, fighting a courageous and heartbreaking battle with liver disease.
In 2009, our father lost the business he put his heart and soul in, leaving him further from retirement and forced to start a whole new career.
In 2012, Hurricane Sandy flooded our parents' entire home, and left them displaced for months.
And in 2017, after months of hiding her symptoms, battling a beast inside her all alone due to her fear of doctors and a fear of burdening us, our mom was rushed to the hospital, diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic lung cancer.

Our mom is in the ICU at Cooper Hospital. Her prognosis is not good at this time. But we have not given up hope because our father is not giving up hope. While life hasn't exactly been fair to our father, he has proven to be a beacon of love, hope, and optimism. Despite what he has been dealt, he still always wears a smile. Every nurse and doctor at this hospital asks for him when he is not there. They all know and love him.

Our goal is to help our father with the medical costs that will be flooding in as well as the cost of bills that he cannot pay while he is not working to be at our mother's bedside...the exact hospital where they lost their son 9 years ago.

Our dad shows everyone everyday love and kindness. Please help us show him the same love and kindness. He deserves it.

With much love and gratitude,
The Grey girls
