Champion harness racing driver/ trainer GAVIN LANG, who is a HERO to many but a LEGEND in the eyes of most, has encountered many battles on the racetrack, but as most of you are aware Gavin is currently facing the greatest challenge of his life.
As you are aware Gavin was diagnosed with an extremely rare type of Lymphoma. To give context, out of every 100 people who are diagnosed with Lymphoma, only 5, have this particular type. Since then he has endured a number of months of intense chemotherapy to treat this illness.
During the past 2 weeks of intense testing Gavin's medical team have reviewed his treatment plan and now want to use a new drug which is currently only available from the USA. This new treatment is extremely intense and needs to be given in several stages over the next 3 months.
In 2013, Gavin was inducted as a Legend of the Caduceus Club and we know that Gavin has given us so much joy over the years as well as a fantastic ambassador to our great sport that we need to support him & Meagan in their time of need. The Harness Racing industry is often referred to as a big family and families support each other when things turn tough well now is the time?
The Caduceus Club has established this Go Fund Me page to give you the opportunity to support Gavin and Meagan through this challenging period.
