GPLLS Fields Fundraiser

Grosse Pointe Little League Softball (GPLLS) is proud to promote and grow the sport of softball for all young women across the Grosse Pointes. As our league continues to mature[DS1] , we find ourselves in the position able to take on more exciting projects to further develop and enhance this great game in our community.
 
Recently, Grosse Pointe Farms-City Little League Board members voted unanimously to allow GPLLS to convert the baseball diamond at the corner of St. Clair and Charlevoix in the Elworthy complex to a softball field. GPLLS is grateful and excited for the opportunity to add another premier field on which our girls will practice, play, and make lasting memories. This softball diamond will be another community gem where new teams will come together each year and form lifelong friendships and bonds. Girls will become softball sisters, while being cheered on by their siblings, fathers, mothers, grandparents, neighbors, and peers. 

This field will not only be one of GPLLS’s top fields for league play, it also will be the site of the 2022 Michigan 12u Little League Softball state tournament. This will be the first time Grosse Pointe will host the very best Little League softball teams from across the state, all striving to carry a championship banner and hoist a trophy. Elworthy will be the center of Michigan’s softball world in the summer of 2022.

GPLLS has always been a community program, whether our girls live in the Woods, the Park, the City.  Whether they come from the Farms, or the Shores. We are one family, and no one is prouder of our united community than the girls of GPLLS. We also do not take for granted how much our community shows that love back. We feel it with every parade, on every Opening Day, and after every game. Now, and in 2022, we are ready to step up, show the rest of Michigan how much GPLLS has grown, and to share our community pride.

The softball work has already begun at Elworthy, but our true vision cannot be completed without significant effort, cooperation and — our request today — your gracious[DS2]  financial contribution. GPLLS is seeking donations so we may turn this gift into our girls’ field of dreams. All donations will go directly toward the Elworthy field project, 2022 state tournament, and an ongoing field improvement fund to make all of our diamonds first-class. No donation is too big or small. 

GPLLS has received so much love and an outpouring of support for our girls over the years. We humbly ask for a little more and hope you can help us reach our goals.
