Support the Gross Family

Please help us support the Gross Family in Gray, TN. Kristie, Eric, and their two small children, Presley and Colton, recently experienced two unexpected emergencies in the same day. On the evening of Tuesday, March 3rd, Kristie was at home sleeping with the children when she smelled smoke.  Shortly after Kristie walked through the house to determine where the smoke was coming from, a neighbor who happened to be walking in the neighborhood knocked on her front door to let her that the back of their house was on fire. Kristie, along with help from neighbors, was able to get the children and pets to safety.  Eric arrived home shortly after, and he and a neighbor were able to somewhat control the flames with a fire extinguisher until the firefighters arrived on scene.  Their garage was destroyed in the fire and power and water have been cut off to their house. They are unable to stay at their house and may not be allowed back into their home for a few months. They are currently staying with friends and family and may have to move into a hotel until the repairs can be made.

As if their house fire was not enough of a trial, Eric and Kristie had just been dealing with another emergency at their previous home the same day of the fire.  Eric and Kristie were in the process of trying to sell their previous home.  Due to the colder temperatures and wintry weather we have been facing, the pipes at their previous home had frozen and burst which in turn caused flooding.  The morning of the fire, Eric and Kristie spent much of their day ripping out all of the carpet and flooring due to the flood damage.

The Gross family is thankful for their safety during these trying times as no one was injured during either emergency.  They realize the ending could have been a lot worse.  Please consider helping this family as they are now dealing with the unexpected costs from both tragedies and will need funding to cover the costs of food and expenses related to these unexpected emergencies.
