<div>The Hispanic Community Fund was created in response to an urgent and growing need we are witnessing firsthand in Minnesota. Over the past weeks, many Hispanic families in our community have been facing extreme uncertainty and fear. Due to recent immigration enforcement activity, parents are afraid to leave their homes, even to buy food. Others are experiencing sudden loss of income, reduced work hours, or complete job interruptions. As a result, families with children, elderly relatives, and limited resources are struggling to access basic necessities.

<div>My brother and I are the owners of La Guadalupana Supermercado, a local grocery store that serves a large Hispanic population. We are deeply connected to this community and see these challenges daily through our customers, neighbors, and friends. Inspired by the values of solidarity and mutual support that define our culture, we decided to take action. This fundraiser was started to provide direct grocery assistance to families in need. Funds raised will be used to purchase essential food items—such as rice, beans, proteins, produce, and basic household staples—and deliver them directly to households that cannot safely or affordably leave their homes. Each care package is thoughtfully assembled to support a family during a difficult time and ensure no one goes hungry.

<div><strong><em>How Funds Are Managed and Distributed</em></strong>

<li>This fundraiser is managed by myself and my brother, the owners of La Guadalupana Supermercado. All funds raised are used exclusively to purchase essential groceries for families in need through this initiative.
</li>
<li>Families who receive assistance are identified through direct outreach, community referrals, and requests from individuals who contact our grocery store directly. We are also implemented an intake process to help organize requests and ensure fair distribution while preventing duplicate assistance within a short period.
</li>
<li>All donations are used to purchase groceries directly from our store. Care packages are prepared by our staff and volunteers and delivered directly to approved families. No cash is distributed to recipients. Grocery purchases for this initiative are invoiced separately from normal store operations to maintain transparency and accountability. We regularly share updates and photos of the preparation and delivery process so supporters can see the direct impact of their contributions.
