Grocery funds for CUPE OSBCU Education Workers

Doug Ford has decided to force the most underpaid Education Workers to protest for their rights to fair wages and services for our kids.

While Ford is ok with the fact that 1 in 4 of these workers rely on food banks, even while they are working, we are not.

Ontario Education Workers United has been in communication with CUPE OSBCU and they will be ensuring these funds make it to workers who need funds to purchase groceries.

1) How are we related to CUPE OSBCU?

We are a group of frontline Education Workers that came together to form Ontario Education Workers United a few years ago. All Education Workers in Ontario all welcome to join us and can find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/oewupage

After hearing from so many Education Workers that they rely on food banks we reached out to CUPE OSBCU to ask if they would be ok with this fundraiser and they said yes. Check out CUPE OSBCU's Facebook page about us reaching out to them.

2) How will we get the funds to Education Workers?

We will be setting up the Go Fund Me to transfer the funds directly to CUPE OSBCU. They will be distributing the funds to members who indicate they are in need.

3) How will the funds be used?

By Education Workers who demonstrate need.
