To address the sudden social-economic impact COVID-19 has put on the CID community, my team and I have been delivering groceries from Uwajimaya catered to the needs of the low-income elderly, individuals, and families in the neighborhood. After sharing videos of our delivery process on the facebook page: <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/209513293443640/215440512850918/?comment_id=220302879031348&amp;notif_id=1585257832516611&amp;notif_t=group_comment" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Support the ID - Community United</a>, we learned that the community wants to help! We thought this would be a perfect opportunity for supporters to let the elderly and families know that we have their back. Where will donated funds go? 100% of donated funds will be spent on COVID-19 response efforts buying grocery items from <a href="https://www.yelp.com/biz/uwajimaya-seattle" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Uwajimaya</a> and other local grocery stores for residents living in the Chinatown International District. The groceries selected will reflect the items requested by residents we serve. Our goal with this gofundme page is to be completely transparent by communicating the average cost of each grocery bag delivered,  amount of people served, and where we delivered to.
