Grieving family lost mom & now 9 year old son

Donation protected
Just last week, Joshua was running, playing, and riding his bike like any other 9-year-old boy. Today, November 25th, 9-year-old Joshua "shu-shu" Crenshaw ran into the arms of Jesus. There he was reunited with his mom, Kim. Who, just two short years ago, lost her two-year battle with cancer and met Jesus on November 28th, 2020. Two years later, after a flurry of unexpected and devastating events, the family is shocked and crushed to say their final goodbyes to their youngest son, Joshua.
Joshua had flu-like symptoms for a few days. He woke up looking yellow. His Dad, Matt, took him to ER for some fluids and testing, where he received the shocking news that his young son's liver was failing and would need to be flown to Utah. They found a mass in his chest, which they feared was cancer contributing to his failing liver. Joshua's rapidly failing liver caused high ammonia levels in his brain, causing cerebral encephalitis. Despite the hospital's best efforts, after landing in Utah, Joshua never regained consciousness. His five siblings and grandparents were able to make the drive down moments before Joshua took his last breath. The doctors assured his dad that this type of cancer is typically found by accident, and he did not miss any signs, ensuring him he could not have known prior to this recent illness. Despite this news, Matt is completely beside himself. He has been raising six children on his own, trying to run his business, and make ends meet.
As you can imagine, this family has been through tremendous tragedy. It would mean the world to show this family the love and support they need. There will be a lot of cooking, shopping, cleaning, groceries, medical bills, and planning for an after-life memorial for Joshua. Please do not let them do this alone. This money will cover just a small fraction of what they need.
