Help Buddy Walk Again

I'm sitting in front of my computer writing this with a broken heart and tears in my eyes. I humbly come before you all, for the second time, asking for your help to save my best friend and most adored creature on the planet, Buddy.

Around 7:30am this morning I received one of the most horrific calls of my life. My mother was on the other line, crying breathing heavily and I knew right away something happened to Buddy. She explained to me that while Buddy was eating his breakfast, he suddenly collapsed and went stiff. Thinking he simply ate too fast and might be choking on his food my mom tried to clear his airways and then performed CPR. He still wasn't responding but noticed his ear was switch was has led us to the conclusion that Buddy has a seizure.

My mother rushed him to the vet and said he started to regain consciousness and even lifted his head. A while after regaining consciousness the doctors noticed that Buddy was unable to use his front legs and they appeared to be stuck in a flexed position, much like a person after a stroke.

As of now, we do not know what has caused this or how to treat it. He is staying overnight at the vet hospital so they can do a CT-Scan and other tests to determine our next course of action. Currently, my bill is at $4875.00 and is going to increase everyday he is in the hospital.

I have worked very hard and seen a lot of success over the last year especially, but unfortunately at the current time I have found myself in sort of a transitional period where my cash flow in is a little low. I do not have my own apartment and have travel constantly.  While I've been thinking about my next steps, Buddy has been staying with my mom in Massachusetts. I have been going home a lot to see Buddy because it pains me deeply to be away from him. From the moment I first saw a picture of this dog on the internet, I fell in love. He is my best friend and like a child to me.

Even now I find myself extremely conflicted as all I want to do is hop on a plane or in a car and go home and be with my dog. However, I have two gigs this weekend that I need the money from to help me even pay for all of this. This is where I need your help.

I'm sure a majority of the people reading this remember a few years ago when I was compelled to create a GoFundMe to help pay for a surgery that Buddy needed surgery for a cruciate ligament tear. Through the graciousness of many friends, family and even strangers we were able to raise $3500 dollars. What a lot of you don't know is that while Buddy was recovering from this surgery, the other leg went out and he needed the same surgery on the other side. When everything was said and done our bill was upwards of $5000. Luckily, Buddy recovered swiftly from these surgeries and has since been the happy, healthy, and active dog I know him to be. It was his near legs then, but now his front legs seems to be in what I hope is just temporary paralysis.

Please help me by donating and/or sharing this with your peers. He is having a CT-Scan done today which I have already paid for but I am coming close to the limit on my credit cards, which I had spent the last 5 years paying off and restoring my credit after some financial hardships. If the CT-Scan doesn't show anything conclusive, we will do an MRI which will increase our costs tremendously. I refuse to let money stand in the way of the well being of this animal and I will go to any lengths to see him healthy, and hopefully walking again very soon.

Please do what every you can to help. I will be forever grateful.
