The Hayes twins sure have put their parents through the ringer this year and they have one more hill to get over.
Both boys were dignosed with Moderate to Severe Plagiocephaly and Torticollis. (Common in twins because their is not enough growing room for both in the moms tummy. ) They have been in therapy every week, and they have tried several things for correction, but sadly as of this week they will be traveling to Ft. Worth every 7-14 days to undergo treatment for the next 5 months. This trip took the family 13 hours total to complete for the family of 6 on Wednesday but they are sure hoping to get in a rhythem of a quicker trip in the future.
Treatment required cost around $8,000 but thankfully insurance will cover some! Unfortuantly with both boys going back in the hospital for almost a month after coming home intially the Hayes' have already paid out of pocket max once to cover their over $100,000 bill trying to get these little guys to eat this year. The plot thickens slightly because in August the Hayes' got new insurance and have to start over on their family deductable.
These funds will help for the remaining $5,000 that the insurance did not cover and $1000 for gas with the 12-15 trips that are scheduled.
The Hayes' have asked that you simply pray for safe travels and Gods hands to cover the family in the stressful time that's ahead of them.
Maybe we can take a little stress off of them.
