Greyson Hayner needs your help!
Donation protected
The unimaginable situation that the Alaxanian/Hayner family are in right now is not something anyone should ever have to go through.
Meet my nephew Greyson, a 4-month-old bundle of joy that has warmed the hearts of everyone around him in his short time on this earth. On Thursday, December 1st, a minor sickness quickly took an unexpected and scary turn when his mother and father decided they should bring him to the emergency department. It was becoming a struggle for him to breathe on his own. Once the medical team saw him, it was immediately determined that he would be admitted into the PICU at Albany Medical Center.
Initially, he was put on a machine that assisted his breathing. But within 24 hours, things were getting much worse and the decision to intubate him was made. He is now on several sedative medicines and relying entirely on a machine to breathe for him.
Through countless labs and tests, it has been determined that he has three separate medical anomalies that will need to be addressed in the near future with major surgery. Two of the anomalies are putting a strain on his trachea and esophagus, making it hard for him to breathe and get better on his own.
We have been told that he has a long road ahead of him and no one is sure exactly how long it will take. Both parents are on an unpaid leave of absence from their jobs to be able to be there for and take care of Greyson.
With all of this, there are bills that need to be covered.
And that is why we have decided to create this fundraiser. All money donated to this cause will be used for medical or living expenses so that Greyson’s parents can focus their efforts 100% on their son without worrying or stressing about the amount of money in the bank.
If it comes to the point that more money has been raised than is needed for them during this trying time, all leftover funds will be donated to Albany Medical Center and any other medical facilities that are involved in getting Greyson back to the happy and smiling boy we all know and love.
Please consider donating to this cause. Nothing is too small, and everything is appreciated more than you know!
