Gretchen's cancer battle

My mother is a 54 year old who is a wonderful, devoted mother of 3 loving grown children who have blessed her with 9 adorable grandchildren.
She is a fiercly independent, always availible when one of her kids or friends needs her and faces all of lifes challenges with a positive attitude.
In her free time my mom spends countless hours with her grandchildren, going to the park or just spending time at home, letting them fill her kitchen floor with pots and pans from the cabinets or playing games.
Devastation struck with the horrble diagnosis of an aggressive form of bladder cancer.  Recommended treatment is chemotherapy and radical cystectomy and she will need to take a leave of absence from her job.
Although she has worked hard supporting herself and children all her life she does not have medical insurance and the financial burden of the up coming treatments  is something she shouldn't have to put any strentgh into worrying about; all her energy is needed to fight this horrible disease.
