Greig's cancer healing journey

The majority of you will know that Greig has been fighting Small Cell Lung Cancer over the last 9 months.  His proactive approach and positive outlook have been nothing but remarkable, not once have I heard him complain, moan, or ask why me.  The day after his diagnosis Greig changed from a carnivore loving coffee, beer drinking meat eater, to a teetotal vegan (well nearly teetotal....). His journey has led him to discover a multitude of healing practices and study radical remission cases to find out what worked for them.  Days, weeks and months have been spent on the internet reading journal articles and books.  Taking numerous cancer fighting herbs, supplements and off label medications are now a way of life, not to mention the 100's (yes 100's) of appointments with GPs, oncologists, naturopaths,  integrative  GPs, radiologists, sonographers and nurses.  He has opened his mind to increasing his spiritual connection through daily yoga and mediation practices, working alongside energy and shamanic healers, recently starting breath work to improve his lung function and well being.  All the whilst supporting myself (and our fur baby Cecil) through what has been the most difficult part of our lives.  We have sent blood overseas to profile his tumour cells with the hope of finding new treatments, and are awaiting on the arrival of a 'supportive oligonucleotide treatment' infusion, an experimental treatment to 'silence' Greig's mutations .  Oh and Greig  has also enrolled on a degree to study natural medicine, with a drive to further his learning and potentially help others. Greig has had traditional chemo alongside immunotherapy, however the results were short lived and the tumours are growing back. We desperately need to stop or slow down the growth to give him a fighting chance with a potential second round of chemo.  Chemo alone however is not a cure, it simply obliterates the fast dividing cells, leaving the slow growing (stem cells) behind to further multiply.  We have found an alternative treatment, which will hopefully work alongside the chemotherapy to enhance it. Hyperthermia treatment heats the body / tumours up to 39-42 degrees celsius, after an intravenous infusion of high dose Vitamin C, which has a pro-oxidant effect. The treatment is not available in WA and we are looking to travel and stay in Melbourne for 1 month to access it.  The clinic also offer Hyperbaric oxygen therapy, used to increase the oxygen levels around the tumour tissue, which tumours don't like, this treatment is also not available in WA. So far Greig has self funded all of the additional therapies  (apart from the immunotherapy, which was kindly funded by his old work colleagues and close friends from home).  We are now at the stage where funds are running low and we would like to ask for your help.  All donations to help us access the interstate treatment  will be gratefully and graciously received.  (This is a picture of Greig in a home sauna trying to emulate the Hyperthermia treatment)
