HEART OF GOLD
As I sit down to write this story - I find the words escape me. After all, how can I possibly summarize my brother-in-laws' entire life so others might help? I can only pray the words will find me.   Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Greg Rosenbaum quickly realizes he is one of those men beyond his years. Greg owns his own sheetrocking business and it is not uncommon for him to work from sun-up to sun-down to provide for his family, and to "help out" his five grown children and 16 grandchildren as needed. Greg's generosity does not stop there. Even though Greg and his wife have little, Greg works "after hours" to help others in need, and it is not uncommon for Greg to buy groceries for a family in need, loan out his car to a co-worker, or "write-off" a bill as probono work so a child can have a bedroom.  Greg also is faithful in attending church services, every Sunday morning, come rain, sleet, or snow. He volunteers any spare time to help with church services and other generosities.

About six months ago, Greg felt something on his tongue. He did as most of us do, he went to see a doctor - not once but three times; and three times he was told by the physican at a free clinic "it was nothing." Finally, Greg went to his dentist who told him the growth on his tongue needed to be checked out further and a biopsy was taken. Four doctor appointments, one MRI, and another biopsy later, Greg was told he had mouth cancer and he underwent surgery. The following morning Greg was told the cancer has now spread to his throat and that surgery is out. Instead, he will need to have radiation treatments everyday for the next 13 weeks starting March 13, 2018 and then be reevaluated. That totals 91 sessions in a little over 3 months. WOW!!! Words really cannot describe the disbelief Greg feels - after all, a doctor told him three times "It's nothing." The cost will be great. If you know Greg, and even if you don't know Greg, follow his facebook page, get to know the person he is. I am sure you will soon realize Greg is a deserving person. Thank you.
