Greg's Kidney transplant fund

We are proud to introduce to you, father, husband, and friend, Greg Kindt.  Greg, 40 years old, lives in Laurel, Montana with his wife Tammy and their son Cooper, 1 year old.  While Greg enjoys working for HDR Engineering Inc., he spends most of his time with his vast network of friends and, more importantly, playing with his family.  Make no mistake about it, Greg is beloved by all who have had the pleasure of meeting him.  His calm, laid-back demeanor makes him approachable and fun to be around. 

Unfortunately, Greg has spent most of his life dealing with an illness that continues to tax his health.  He received his first kidney transplant at the age of 15, and on Thursday, November 30th, underwent his fourth kidney transplant.  Wednesday, November 29, 2017 saw Greg, and his family, on a medical flight from Billings, Montana to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.  The transplant surgery went well, and he is now recovering with his wife, son, and parents by his side.  He is expected to leave the hospital in about 1 week, but he will have to stay in Baltimore for an additional 4 weeks to ensure his continued health. 

While we are encouraged by the outcome of his surgery, and have hearts filled with hope for his recovery, the reality is that him and his family are currently forced to live in a city far away from their own home.  This reality places a financial burden upon Greg and his family that will be difficult to overcome.  The transportation costs to and from the hospital, meals, hotel expenses, etc. are out-of-pocket expenses incurred in addition to the family’s normal monthly bills, all while neither Greg nor his wife can earn their normal income.
