Everest to End Duchenne

Donation protected
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating muscle-wasting disease that strikes about 1 in 3,500 boys. They gradually lose the ability to walk, to feed themselves, to breathe. This disease is currently untreatable, incurable, and 100% fatal, often by late teens. There are promising treatments on the horizon, but we need to raise awareness, and funds to explore these treatments.

In honor of the kids with DMD who have more and more difficulty walking, Griffin's dad Brian and grandfather Gregg will be taking their own long, difficult walk. In October, we will be traveling to Nepal with other parents and compassionate friends of those with DMD and trekking to the base camp of Mount Everest. All of the proceeds of this epic journey will be donated to the most promising research. The first $1,000 Gregg raises will go directly to the Hope for Gus foundation , which will choose one very promising therapy to fund through the Duchenne Alliance .

Please help to end this devastating disease that afflicts our little boy and thousands of others. Please give generously if you are able, as I promise that not a single dollar of your donation will be wasted. But if you can only give $5 or $10....that amount is just as important and appreciated to get us to our goal. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts....and, with your help, from the top of the world!
