Greg Peery assist with cancer fight

I am sponsoring a Go Fund me account for my friend Greg Peery

It’s not hard to admit that only a couple of times in life you gain a friendship that is rich and full of love.  My Friend Greg is that guy and I would like to help him in a very practical way by setting up this Go Fund Me.  Greg is already a cancer survivor.  He beat pancreatic cancer last year.  The victory was short, he has been tested and shown positive for a malignant tumor is in his brain, the lining of his brain and tumors in his spine with secondary markers and weakness.

A little bit about Greg:  Happily married to his life love Lori, father of three, Grandfather of two, he has been active in service at his church for many years leading life groups, youth groups, leadership training and the Cancer Care Ministry. Greg loved and cared for other families going through this tough health battle while he himself was fighting his own illness and pushing through the treatments.  Greg loved to wrestle and was a college champion.  He used that back ground to be an influential figure in the local high school wrestling program. He coached successfully for 10 years. He was also involved with youth sports programs.

Here Is my Story of Greg.

Greg once had a yacht called the Mary Ellen, it was an older 60's era wood hull and he had always dreamed of owning and captaining a wood yacht.  It was around a year after his purchase of the boat that I met him and we quickly became friends in part to a love of boats, but more just because we bonded as men in friendship.  Men who find a best friend are fortunate, I have been blessed!  We enjoyed many fun and adventurous times on the Mary Ellen and as would be the nature of wood boats it needed maintenance on the hull.  Off to the boat yard it went with the plan to redo the bottom and cover it with fiberglass to extend the life of the boat.  Once it was "up on the hill" as the boat owners say, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer.  It wasn't long into the treatment of his disease that the bills backed up and the Mary Ellen was lost. One set back is also an opportunity.  Greg never lost his spirit, and after  2 years of treatment he was deemed to be clear of the pancreatic cancer.  Joy and relief were temporary. Though he remains clear of the original diagnosis there has been a reoccurrence only this time it's aggressive and has moved to Greg’s brain and neck.  We are believing for a miracle from God for healing and health in his body.   The bills will require a more direct intervention to keep the family afloat in this time of difficulty.  I am asking you to partner with me, first in prayer for healing and death to the disease of cancer, second in raising funds to keep the home lights on and assist in the travel and treatment costs while he returns to the Cancer Center for help from the experts.  We don’t know the full diagnosis and with this being a second run it can’t be good.  Plus we don’t want to speak any foul thing into being, words are life!  So speak health and life to Greg and his family and all who battle the physical disease of Cancer.

Thank you for taking the time to consider partnering with me spiritually and financially in helping my friends as they walk through this difficult time in life. Many hands make light work, so if you can make a small donation, thats great, if you can do more, thank you.
Thanks and Love
