Greg LeBlanc was a beautiful person, inside and out. He was a truely loving and caring human being, and yes, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He was a fantastic drummer- one of the best I'd ever heard. He was a presence to be reckoned with. In a good way. In the best way.
Cancer is terrible, a terrifying disease. Greg was diagnosed with bladder cancer last year. And in Greg fashion he didn't do anything small. The disease was strong. But Greg was stronger. He battled through this cancer without a complaint. He had his bladder removed and he endured chemotherapy. After a paced recovery, he tried live his life normally; working, loving life, and healing. But the cancer had other plans.
The bladder cancer spread to his brain, through his spinal column. He fought hard and long; he suffered migraines that have no description. He suffered blindness; he endured pain and agony that no human should have to experience. He painfully struggled through it all for those who loved him- to stay here on earth just a little while longer.
Sometimes we know that someone needs to move on to a better place. It's so hard to let go. We all felt guilty binding him here and we felt the same guilt for letting him go. Greg fought hard and long. He died on Friday, July 28, 2017.
This GoFundMe is for all things that are planned to honor Greg- he had no love for money so there's not much money to speak of to plan for arrangements. The money donated will go to pay for the wake, funeral, as well as to provide comfort and stability for his grieving and devoted wife Jen LeBlanc and his loving mom Donna. We all know money is tighter than days past; these two grieving women need all the support they earned and deserve. They gave up their livelihood and jobs to battle side by side with Greg, up to the painful end.
Now they urgently need a loving community to provide them with security and comfort. They deserve our support for their sacrifice and their loss.
