Greg Howard is one of the most fun people you'll ever meet. He loves his family, he loves the Lord, and he loves to talk about big ideas. Greg and I have been married 23 years and have 4 wonderful children together aged 17, 14, 12 and 10. Our high school senior was to get his driver's license, but we had to stop the required training lessons, and sell his car.

We have been self employed the majority of our 23 of marriage, but these last 5 years have been the most "what the hell" moments in our life. While we are self employed, Greg IS the self employed part of our business; I cannot do what he does. He has 3O years of IT experience and expertise, including eight years programming, and most recently, mobile apps development. Five years ago Greg survived a "widow maker" heart attack, then one year later, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which impacted my vision, along with daily fatigue. So, Greg did a lot of driving our kids to & fro school, grocery shopping and making frozen dinners.

Greg & I are not strangers to helping others in need. Greg has had some of the most odorous large men hug him for giving them money. But that's just Greg. Always the giver. Always the encourager. Always the believer.

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Greg suffered a massive stroke, spending 6 weeks in the hospital. The doctors were able to get 70% of the blood clot but there is still a piece up near the left side of his brain. The CT scan shows no more hemorraging but a major area of his brain shows intense damage.  Greg will live but he will never be the same.  So, from the ICU to the Acute Rehab Unit, and then on Dec. 22, God gave our family the best Christmas gift; Greg came home where he will continue to receive Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy. I have already started Greg's disability papers, but understand the process can take awhile. Greg cannot speak but a few words, cannot type yet, but his walking is improving. I've kept his clients and leads informed about the situation and hoping he will heal soon so he can finish the projects he started and help those who have contacted him. My sister has been most helpful with driving our kids to their schools, meals, errands, etc. Being self-employed, Greg's income has all but stopped and our family needs help to support immediate financial needs.

We ask you from the bottom of our hearts, if you have the means to support Greg and our family with a donation that will bless our family and help us focus on getting Greg back to health.  Greg and I have never been in this most vulnerable position. We are accustomed to being the givers; the encouragers; the prayers (and I believe we will be once again...). Thank you for reading our story, and for all your prayers and support.
Your contribution will help make a huge difference in the lives of our family. Thank you so very much, and God bless you.
