Greenwich Village Orchestra Annual Campaign

This year, the Greenwich Village Orchestra has tackled more ambitious repertoire than ever before, and we could not be more proud of or excited about all we have achieved.

We have come so far since 1986, when we first sat down to make music together. Ever since then, we have remained a true community orchestra: none of our musicians pay dues, our members are not paid to perform, and we play purely because we love to bring music to our community.

Our community lost a treasured member this year. Lory Diez, a longtime member of our viola section, passed away in January. We plan to endow two chairs in her honor for our Principal Viola and Principal Oboe. 

As we reflect on this past year and look ahead to our next season—which promises even more ambitious programming and terrific soloists—we know that none of what we do would matter without our terrific audience. Please consider supporting the GVO to help us plan for an exciting season ahead and endow these chairs in loving memory of our dear friend, Lory.
