Greenville Hope for Haiti

On August 14th, 2021, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit Haiti. This disaster left the people of Haiti in all sorts of hopeless, troubled, and unfortunate situations. Let's fundraise together to bring hope to all these, children, adults, and families alike!

Hello! I am Monica Shaw, the President and Co-founder of Deliverance Children's Ministry, a non-profit charity that provides for the advancement of youth and their families. At DCM, we aim to provide academic enrichment and career development programs for the youth in Jersey City. Just recently, in late August, we were able to provide 130 individual students in Greenville, NJ, with necessary school supplies for when they start school in September. However, with this disaster that recently hit the residents of Haiti, DCM is working to help support all the families and communities in need in Haiti.

100% of the proceeds will go towards our campaign, "Greenville Hope for Haiti", which will help the refugees from Haiti by providing them with support, both emotionally and monetarily. We aim to raise $10,000 which will then be spent on necessary items such as food, toiletries, etc, as well as directly donated to communities that were hit by this earthquake. These basic necessities will then be donated to various communities of refugees all over the United States from the households in Texas to the refugees in Brooklyn, New York all the way to the many families hosted locally in New Jersey. Although it is currently dangerous to travel to Haiti, we still have our sights set on providing aid to the mother island by sending whatever toiletries we can. In December, even if I can't travel to Haiti, I would still like to make a trip to Texas, as President of DCM, to personally show our support all the way from Greenville, NJ.

"Greenville Hope for Haiti" will show the families and communities in Haiti that they are not alone, that they have support, and that we are doing everything we can to help them.
