Greene Co Residential Addiction Tx

Greene County Teen Challenge Addiction Treatment Facility

Campaign   $75,000

The Coalition for a Brighter Greene has partnered with a National Based Christian Recovery program that brings with it over 56 years of experience at using sound programming to help individuals of all ages recover from Drug addiction.

The Teen Challenge Christian Based model has an 85 % success rate for recovery with just a one time commitment to the program. The cost is $12,000 per year and if needed, the charity raises private donations for the cost of treatment for the individual.

1 out of 4 residents in our county are affected by addiction

Greene County #1 in the SWPA Region, 38 deaths / 100,000 exceeding Allegheny, Washington and Fayette County death rates.

Greene County’s death rate as of 2015 has doubled and we currently rank fifth out of sixty-seven counties in the state for overdose deaths according to the most recent PA coroner’s report.

The Coalition has taken on this role to look for quality partners like Teen Challenge because of the huge drug epidemic facing our Greene County Community and its families.  At the second annual town hall over 300 residents voiced a strong need for an affordable rehabilitation option here in our county.

We have worked with the West Greene School Board and local business leaders to tackle this crisis. However, it is imperative that we receive as much community support as possible.

New Creation Recovery and Teen Challenge programming will be 12 month residential plus two year out-client follow-up for men ages 18 and over.  It will initially be a 8-10 bed facility on a 22-acre site in Graysville, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and will employ full time staff. The site can expand capacity to meet the demand for service. We will provide services to Greene County residents based upon demand. Those struggling from addiction in our community will get preference to the available spots as we grow we will guarantee bed availability for our residents.

What we hope to accomplish with your help.

-       Provide reduction in addiction and overdose levels in Greene County by providing an effective treatment option in the county.

-       Reduction in crime levels in the County by getting addicts off the streets and into treatment.

-       Reduction in taxpayer costs of repeat failed treatment, intervention, emergency and medical services, and court and prison costs by providing effective treatment.

We will raise funds for one month and make an offer of the total amount donated to West Greene School Board on Thursday, July 27th, 2017. Please show your support. You can also go to the Brighter Greene Facebook page and vote if you are in favor of the school partnering with the Coalition to bring this national resource to our county-to restore and save lives.  Together we can take action and make a difference.  Please check out our website for opportunities to volunteer, www.coalitionforabrightergreene.org , or like us on facebook at Coalition for a Brighter Greene.
