GANS-Nepal Flood Victim Relief Fund

Dear Friends & well whishers,
According to the home ministry of Nepal, 150 people were killed and many more injured following the recent floods and landslides over the past three days and the death toll is likely to rise. Millions have lost their homes and properties and are left without food, clean drinking water and medicines, that may lead to breakout of the epidemics and if that happens, it will be catastrophic. We, Nepali community of Greater Austin, Texas area are deeply saddened by the loss of life and properties in Nepal due to this disastrous natural calamity and would like to request everyone to donate so that we can provide immediate relief to the victims.
We have decided that all the funds raised by GANS will be sent to Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, which is actively working on rescue and delivery of relief materials. Timeline for the fund raising will be September 20, 2017 and fund will send immediately. Please, open up your heart and join us to support the flood victims of Nepal.
Beneficiaries:
Greater Austin Nepali Society (GANS) is 501c(3), non profit organization established in Austin,Tx,USA for welfare of Nepalese community people around the globe. GANS organizes fund raise as per the need of community people. The beneficiaries of this fund raise are the August -2017 flood victim of Nepal. we are getting flood victim names from local government of Nepal & the local community organizations. In Nepal, 150 people have been killed and 90,000 homes destroyed in what the United Nations is calling the worst flooding there in a decade which hit nepal in August -2017. 37 of the 75 districts in Nepal have been impacted by floods.
How to deliver Donation:
we are working with the local level organization named Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, who is providing food and other support to flood victim. This is very renowned non profit organization of Nepal. They have done really great job for earthquake victim in past. they will select flood vicitm who are in dire need of help and provide them financial as well as support for food and shelter. we will send our collected fund to their bank account with wire transfer. they will help us distributing certain amount to selected victim families. we will maintain all records of fund distribution for future.
