Urgent Help Needed: Saving Our Pyr Puppies
As many of you know, the Great Pyrenees Club of Western PA Rescue has been working tirelessly to bring some Pyr puppies into our care. This mission is close to our hearts, and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome them into our rescue family. A local shelter had agreed to take them in, and we were excited for what the future would hold for these adorable pups. But this past weekend, things took a turn for the worse.

One of the puppies fell ill, showing signs of vomiting and diarrhea. We feared the worst, and unfortunately, our concerns were confirmed when he was diagnosed with Parvo after being taken to the vet. He is now receiving intensive care and has been admitted.. This little one’s fight for his life is far from over, and we are doing everything we can to support him in his recovery.

In response to this alarming situation, we acted quickly to protect the remaining three puppies. We requested that the vet administer the Parvo antigen shot to them and immediately began preventive treatment. This is crucial, as Parvo is highly contagious and can be deadly without swift intervention.

However, this level of care comes at a significant cost. The current invoice for the most affected puppy stands at $1,050, and we anticipate this figure to grow as he continues his ICU treatment. With the other puppies requiring the same preventive measures, we expect expenses to reach $5,000 or more.

We are reaching out to our community for help. The lives of these puppies are hanging in the balance, and we desperately need your support to cover the medical expenses necessary to save them. Your generosity can make all the difference for these little ones who, despite their rough start, are on the brink of a brighter future.

Please, if you are able, consider making a donation to help us provide the care these puppies so desperately need. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us move closer to our goal of ensuring these pups have the chance to live a happy, healthy life.
