Happy 4th of July weekend everyone!
Barring anything catastrophic, thanks to your donations, it looks like we'll be able to get to Hawaii. I still have to work out getting SB2 on the plane but I'm hearing the airlines are pretty bike friendly.
I'm compelled to update the GoFundMe for help getting back on my feet after Hawaii. Specifically, getting my car back on the road, finding an apartment, and finding a job.
All my belongings are stored in my car and my car is stored in my brother's barn.
I'm not afraid of jumping right back to being an Uber driver if that's what it comes to and certainly not using the GoFundMe to "make a buck."
I went for broke on this trip and had this grand idea that I could sell 2000 t-shirts but that didn't even come close.
Ideally I could even find a sponsor or get a job with, let's say Trek and maybe start another journey in a couple months. Something a little simpler

We (me, you, and SB2(my bike) are now 104 day into this amazing adventure to visit all 50 Capitols of the United States us DC.
If you read the first fundraiser, everything that was planned with regard to the trip went almost exactly as planned. The big thing was timing coming thru the mountains and it looks like we will make it over the last mountain (Donner Pass) in the next few days.
This fundraiser is to keep the adventure going. We have visited 21 Capitols so far. That includes DC. I did think shirt sales would be able to cover the entire trip but that doesn't seem to be working.
Money is spent on all things trip related. Food, water, camp sites (no hotels unless danger is immenent), maintenance/repairs to my bike (SB2) and anything else that might come up while we are out here.
Below is the map of my route which started in Syracuse NY and we are 2 days from Carson City NV which is Capitol #22.
Some people prefer to donate money as oppsed to buying an shirt I find also.
This trip is like a real reality show in real time. My obligation is to report to "you the follower" 3 times a day promptly showing and talking about what "we" have seen. Its a very light hearted, fun, and interactive experience.
Basically "we" are touring the entire United States on a field trip and I am the guide.
You can look at any donation as a subscription of sorts. I'm as transparent as possible and do my best to withhold my opinion unless im trying to be funny

People ask me "why" I'm doing this and there are so many answers. Personal challenge, to bring every part pf the country to every other part of the country, I do have a mission to help bring awareness to blood donation (I donated myself in Nashville and will again in Sacramento when I am qualified to again after 56 days) and I like to show what people see on TV and the internet is NOT what goes on out here. The random kindness is amazing. A lot of people realize I am a fan of the "pay it forward" theme which I continue to do my best at.
