Grayson Laine Harper Memorial Fund

Donation protected
On the 16th of August 2022, Grayson Laine Harper entered the world at 9:22am via emergency c-section at Gympie Hospital.

Grayson was born not breathing and with no heart beat. After 21 minutes of resuscitation by the amazing doctors and nurses on staff, he fought his way back and was revived but remained in a critical condition.

Grayson was then transferred to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital via the RACQ lifeflight helicopter with assistance from the NeoRescue Team. He was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where he received the best care possible.

Grayson struggled with multiple organ damage, including problems with his Heart, Lungs, Liver and Kidneys. Ultimately his biggest struggle stemmed from the brain damage and continuous seizures.

On Monday the 22nd of August 2022, at 6 days old, Grayson had an MRI to diagnose the extent of his brain injury resulting from approximately 35 minutes of insufficient oxygen to the brain. Heartbreakingly, Grayson's parents, Trent and Natalie, were informed that his brain injury was classified as severe and that Grayson would not recover.

As Grayson will eventually grow his wings and become an angel in heaven, he has been transfered to Hummingbird House, an end of life care facility for children in Brisbane.

Trent, Natalie and big brother Cohen are with Grayson at Hummingbird House, surrounding him with endless love and support.

This is a Memorial fund to support Grayson's family during this tragic time.

25% of this fund will be donated to the amazing Hummingbird House to help them support other families in their time of need.

5% of this fund will be donated to Precious Wings Memory Boxes for other families who have lost an infant, to provide unexpected comfort and understanding at a devastating time.

The remaining 70% of this fund will be donated to Grayson's family to assist with funeral costs.

Thank you to everyone for your support, love and thoughts during this devastating time. We appreciate any and all donations, big or small. We ask that you all hug your family a little tighter, and send all of our love and peace to you and yours.

Thank you.
