Gravity Yoga could use help to keep things afloat

Dear friends, students, community,

I know I am not alone in my business challenges.
And I do know people are looking to help individuals and small businesses that they want to see standing post Pandemic.
Let me set the scene of what is happening with Gravity Yoga.

I closed the doors of Gravity Yoga March 16th, along with all the other local gyms and studios.

Since then I  have been stocking up on some health supporting yoga equipment to sell curbside.
When the ban is lifted we will be able to hold classes outdoors, so we may be able to start classes sooner than most yoga studios.
So few people have the yoga trapeze set up at home we are not able to really provide online classes or they are much less marketable than most online yoga classes.
We are being creative about keeping things above water.  And there are some relief funds available which are promising. And this will not go on forever, right?

In the mean time however, not surprisingly, I am unable to pay any overhead.  And of course this studio and my classes are my only income.  At this point it is unclear for self employed folks what support may be available.
That leads me to this.
I have been encouraged by my peers and following the example of some other small businesses I am opening this gofundme campaign.  (with humility, knowing there are so many other needs unmet right now)

If it is better for you or your family, I have gift certificates available if you prefer to support Gravity Yoga that way. https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/ws?studioid=836791&stype=42

And I have Yoga Trapezes in stock if folks are wanting to bring their practice home.  Call or text 360-451-3179.
Thank you to those who have purchased class packages, inventory and gift certificates online!  It really does help!

This is a challenging and curious time.  We have no idea how things will look in the near future and down the road.  I am hopeful this time will bring to focus many of the things that needed to be changed and some of the solutions that have shifted things for the better.
Thank you for supporting this and other local small business. I really look forward to getting back to work and to serving our community. I miss the work we were doing and the healthy community we were helping to support.

Gravity Yoga &  Stellar Juices are Olympia's Healthy Hangout.  We look forward to hanging out with you all soon.
Love Lori
Blessing to us all.  Namaste

ps  I have based my request amount on 4 months of rent.  I am sure we will have emergency aid available over time to help cover more of our revenue loss.
If we end up getting rent relief through some government channels funds raised will be applied toward debt payments, utilities, insurance,  system changes due to the pandemic, and eventually if needed a little wage to help keep my little life afloat.
I expect businesses will have to adjust to many changes as things start back up again.  We will be needing to mitigate future health issues.  There is no doubt the longer this goes on the deeper in debt this business will end up.  So any support is gratefully accepted.

pps  the stronger and more supported Gravity Yoga is, the more we are able to offer support to our amazing Olympia community.
(that's how it works, right? please stay in touch with how we can support you!)
