GRAVES FAMILY DISPLACEMENT FUND
:: Shady Fire (Now Glass Fire) ::
It is with a heavy heart that we announce Karen, Cole, Asher (11), and Elan (7) have lost their Santa Rosa home to the Shady Fire (now part of the Glass Fire). Their home was off of Los Alamos Rd.
Karen and Cole moved to Northern California in 2008 from Minnesota because of it's natural beauty, proximity to the ocean, mountains, city, and snow - along with the opportunities it holds, as they were looking to start a family.
If you're lucky enough to know the Graves family, you'll know that Karen is not only an outstanding chef (and Marketing/Biz Dev professional), but a caring and attentive mother and friend. Hosting in her home for those she loved was a passion of hers.
Cole is a true outdoorsman who takes full advantage of California's landscape and shares that love for adventure and life with his two sons and wife.
They're nothing short of generous, kind, and loving to those within and out of their circle. This tragedy hasn't slowed their tenacity and dedication to support their children, and troubleshoot as they search for their next safe space.
This displacement comes at a cost. Both emotionally, and financially. All they own now lives in the hotel room they share. It is because of this that I'm asking you to make a donation toward this campaign to assist them as they navigate their new normal.
