In April 2015, our grandmother suffered a massive stroke paralyzing half of her body. The stroke caused her to be ventilated and trachea dependent as well as needing a feeding tube for food and nutrients. Our family has had to come together...some leaving their jobs and others pitching in for her 24/7 care. This has been a struggle, but also a joy and honor to give back to our loved one who has dedicated so much to us. Throughout this journey, multiple trips to various hospitals and facilities, even being placed in Hospice, our grandmother has over come the obstacles. She was considered to be a candidate that would never recover. Through prayer and rigorous therapy our granny has regained use of her speech and half of her vision; she is no longer dependent on a ventilator, the trachea and feeding tube are a thing of the past. Although she is still bed bound and has several medical issues due to the stroke, hope has been restored. She needs assistance with transportation to travel to and from doctor's appointments and receive needed medical care. We are raising funds for her care and hopefully the chance to get a wheel chair accessible vehicle to transport her. We are asking for your help.
