Brian Goes to Indianapolis!

Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you all well, happy, and enjoying life with those you love!
It is my great pleasure to issue to you an invitation to attend a delightful recital that I, along with my son Brian and our friends, will be giving to raise money to make possible a wonderful opportunity for Brian - An opportunity that he just can't imagine missing.
As you may know, Brian is a member of the Leander High School Band and has been in band for almost six years. Band has been an enormous vehicle for Brian's personal, academic, and social growth and development over the years, and I am so grateful that he has been blessed to have it in his life. This is a phenomenal opportunity for any young person, but it is especially exhilarating for a person with Autism who has overcome the steepest of odds. The Leander High School Band has been especially instrumental in equipping Brian with leadership and team building skills, nurturing in him a strong work ethic and self-discipline, and building within him strong character. On top of all of that he has become a true musician and has made wonderful new friends that he can call "family".
The Leander High School Band has worked fervently to build an organization of young people who love and support one another personally, academically, and musically. Their hard work has shaped them into a high-performing and award-winning organization that has been inspiring and enriching the lives of many for over thirty years. As a result of their diligence and outstanding performance, they have been invited to march at Grand Nationals this November. This is the chance of a lifetime for Brian and his band mates. It will be an amazing and beautiful experience for him, especially as a senior. What a magnificent way to cap off such a life-changing high school academe!
We are asking for your hand of support in helping Brian get there. Not only will you be helping to make such an adventure possible, but you will be invited to join us for a fun and memorable concert given by Brian, myself, and some of our friends. You will not want to miss this delightful event!
The cost of the trip for one person is $1600, and I would love to join him, so our cost is doubled. I know we can do this! These funds will cover airfare, food, hotel costs, and the cost of registration.
Please show your support and help us raise $3,200 by August of this year!!
