I am fundraising for my upcoming Graduate thesis film project at Howard University. It is a short film that will be in production in Early Summer 2018 and premiere in Late Summer/Early Fall 2018. Although the title is still a working one, the name I am thinking of for my film is "Double Entendre."
Synopsis:
This short film is about a young, Black activist named Brian, who is leading the charge against inner city violence in the wake of his older brother's death a year prior. When this painful past experience resurfaces, he must make a decision that will change his life for better or for worse.
Who will this film benefit?
I believe this short film will continue the national dialogue around the role Blacks play in restoring peace to our low income urban communities that wrestle with crime and murder.
What will the funds be used for?
The cast and crew that I am currently assembling will use the funds raised to take "Double Entendre" to the next level of production. From your wonderful generosity, we will be able to turn "Double Entendre" into the artistic and inspiring film we always hoped it to be.
Your funds will go toward:
- Director of Photography
- Assistant Director
- Sound Engineer
- Film equipment
- Cast and Crew
- Shooting locations
- Artwork & art direction
- Post-production
- Craft services
