Help to Heal Gracie

Donation protected

Hello, we are Alexandra and Mark Corpus and the proud owners of the most adorable six pound Pomeranian, Gracie. Her mannerisms of chirping like a parakeet, screaming like a little human girl, acting like a kitty cat, and popping like a bunny are just a few things that make her so lovable. She melts the hearts of all who meet her!

Gracie was born March 20, 2014. On July 3, 2015 she had surgery to remove bladder stones. After the surgery, Gracie was diagnosed with a liver shunt (http://www.akcchf.org/canine-health/your-dogs-health/surgery-for-extrahepatic.html). Since her surgery, she has had many follow ups, was poked and prodded, but cleared from issues such as stones.

Unfortunately, this past week, Gracie started to show symptoms of this horrible condition. She has been constantly shaking, lost her appetite, had lethargic behavior, and many other common side effects from the liver shunt. Gracie has been through multiple ultra-sounds, x-rays, and MRI's in the past few days. The latest tests uncovered a large stone stuck between her kidney and bladder along with multiple stones in her bladder. This is causing so much pain for her tiny body.

Mark and I have taken her to an internal specialist (Red Bank Veterinary Hospital) for options to ease her pain and provide the best possible treatment. We were given positive news that her liver shunt can be repaired but at an outrageous cost. Surgery and visits are estimated to be around $12,000 and we've already spent a portion out of pocket and have very little options left.

Gracie has spent too much of her life in pain but has provided many smiles for her family, friends, and countless strangers. We just want to pay her back with the best treatment so she can live a happy life. We are asking for anyone’s help to support her surgery and give her a chance to live again.

We want to whole heartedly thank you taking the time to read this and thank you for your kindness and generosity. <3
