Gracie's Hip Surgery

Donation protected
November 11th, we came home from dinner to find out our Gracie had escaped from the back yard. We searched for her for over an hour and finally found her on the side of the road outside of our neighborhood. She was visibly shocked and scared and we rushed her to the emergency hospital. We believe she was crossing the street, when a car hit her and unfortunately drove away. We feel so lucky that we found her when we did.

According to the doctors, Gracie has broken the head of the femur in her right hip. She also had air in her chest cavity, which luckily the doctor was able to take care of within the first day.  She is currently still at the vet hospital being well taken care of, and scheduled for surgery on 11/13. We have been able to visit her a couple times and she still shows her sweet and kind spirit even through the pain.

Unfortunately, we were both very unprepared for something like this to happen to our sweet angel. She brings so much light and joy into our life and we consider her to be our fur baby. Gracie has so much personality we laugh every day at the new experiences we have with her - from her watching tv and trying to understand what's happening on the show, to the way she looks us in the eyes when we talk to her, and even how she cuddles right in-between us every morning waiting patiently for us to get out of bed. We couldn't imagine our life without her - she's our Gracie Boo Bears.

Our vet bill has been totaled at $6000 after everything. (Just updated to $8000 including deposit - 11/16) We are very grateful for the doctors at the vet hospital for working with us in terms of finances. However, we know it's going to be difficult for us to come up with all the money to pay her vet bills.
$10 here and $5 there is all we want to ask for. She's the reason we get up in the morning, and we want to bring her home with us healthy and happy.

To say thank you for your generous donations, expect a thank you card with Gracie's healthy footprint to see how you helped her feel better!

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and help our sweet Gracie Boos.
