Hello everyone!  My name is Samanta Castro and I am starting a go fundme to raise money for my mom’s medical bills. Many of you know her through amazing cooking of Grace’s Kitchen. My mom (Grace Castro)was first diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer back in February of 2022 at the young age of 38. She was able to go into remission 6 months after and beat her first battle. Unfortunately in March of 2023 her fight started again but this time with stage 4 colon cancer. The cancer has continue to spread to other parts of her body causing much pain. She will be receiving radiation and chemotherapy this time along with other treatments that are not covered by insurance. She is also currently undergoing blood transfusions due to the amount of blood she continues to lose daily. As many of you know medical care is very expensive in the US especially for cancer treatments. The last thing we want her to worry about is being able to afford treatment.   My mom is a strong and dedicated woman who loves her family and has a strong passion for cooking. Her dream is to open up to a Peruvian restaurant in the Charlotte area. She has also been part of the Peruvian festival in Charlotte for the last two years and provides great catering. Unfortunately due to her health she is unable to continue pursuing her passions.  We know she is strong enough to beat Cancer one more time. Even if you are not able to donate, getting her story out means more than you can imagine. We only hope that everyone can share her story! We appreciate everyone who has been around to support her through her journey.  ¡Hola a todos!
  Mi nombre es Samanta Castro y estoy iniciando un fondo de donaciones para recaudar dinero para las facturas médicas de mi mamá. Muchos de ustedes la conocen por la increíble cocina de Grace's Kitchen. A mi madre (Grace Castro) le diagnosticaron por primera vez cáncer de colon en etapa 3 en febrero de 2022, a la temprana edad de 38 años. Pudo entrar en remisión 6 meses después y venció su primera batalla. Desafortunadamente en marzo de 2023 su lucha comenzó nuevamente pero esta vez con cáncer de colon en etapa 4. El cáncer ha seguido propagándose a otras partes de su cuerpo causando mucho dolor. Esta vez recibirá radiación y quimioterapia junto con otros tratamientos que no están cubiertos por el seguro. Actualmente también está recibiendo transfusiones de sangre debido a la cantidad de sangre que sigue perdiendo a diario. Como muchos de ustedes saben, la atención médica es muy costosa en los EE. UU., especialmente para los tratamientos contra el cáncer. Lo último que queremos que le preocupe es poder pagar el tratamiento.
  Mi mamá es una mujer fuerte y dedicada que ama a su familia y tiene una gran pasión por la cocina. Su sueño es abrir un restaurante peruano en el área de Charlotte. También ha sido parte del festival peruano en Charlotte durante los últimos dos años y ofrece un excelente catering. Lamentablemente, debido a su salud, no puede continuar con sus pasiones.
  Sabemos que ella es lo suficientemente fuerte como para vencer a Cáncer una vez más. Incluso si no puedes donar, dar a conocer su historia significa más de lo que puedas imaginar. ¡Solo esperamos que todos puedan compartir su historia!
