I've been involved with scouts for almost eight years, and I'm really close to achieving my Eagle Scout Rank, which involves doing a service project for my community. For my Eagle project, <strong>I’m building and installing 10 bat boxes around my city's parks to help support local bat populations.</strong> Bats are essential for pest control and a healthy ecosystem, but they often struggle to find safe places to roost due to expanding urbanization and disease. These bat boxes will provide much-needed shelter, which will enable our bat populations to keep eating invasive and disease-causing insects.
